Guitar hero world tour

What do you guys think of GHWT?

I want to get it for sure but just the disc or the disc+guitar at 1st because I want to see how the RB drums work with it 1st and also if the dull purple lines for bass hits will ruin it or not

I really like that they have :
Bullet for my valentine - Scream aim fire
Paramore - Misery business
Song creation mode
Guitar creation mode

To a lesser extent :
Lostprophets - Rooftops
Metallica - Trapped under ice
Metallica - The day that never comes (DLC song)
Van halen - Hot for teacher
Motorhead - Overkill
Michael jackson - Beat it

(Does anyone know if you can download the metallica songs seperately from each other?)

Rumored/assumed things I like about GHWT :
Rumored Black tide pack : Would be the best DLC in GH or RB history
Airbourne pack rumored : Would be pretty cool
Assumed Paramore pack : Would be awesome
Assumed Bullet for my valentine pack : Would be awesome

So yeah I want GHWT for sure but I do think its song list could have been alot better and I think the song creator could be better too

I'm probably just gonna go play it at one of my friends places.

I played a demo at PAX this year, and I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the gameplay.
But then again it was only a demo and it was at a VERY crowded PAX, so maybe playing the final thing could sway me to buy the stand alone disc but until I get a chance to play the full game I'll be GH free...

Probably the same terrible charting that killed GH3.

Everyone at my school loves GH except me. I like GH2 but GH3 was a disappointment for me.

The charting wasn't AS bad, but it just had something missing that really took all the fun out of it...

I wish I could remember what it was exactly, but after playing it I knew I wanted to stay away from it though (and of course it didn't help I played it right after RB2)

Im stoked and not for this game. I am really excited for some of the songs (I Dont Wanna Miss a Thing!!!) and was excited for the editor (Now it seems pointless, 3 minute limit, and deletion of covers. BOO!), but im starting to lose intrest quick. Especially because of the Hayley thing. She was so damn cute in the interview but the actual game image of her is just appauling.

I felt the same way about Slash in GH3. It's the biggest problem with the Character design in GH. Shash was just a generic face with long black hair and a top hat. Hayleys just a generic character with red hair. Travis Barker is a just a reskinned (not in the way that you're thinking Rico ;p) Johnny Napalm. Zakk Wylde doesn't look quite right. Billy Corgan looks like a generic bald guy IMO, the only characters that look good are Ozzy and Sting.

Actually, the Billy Corgan model looks just like a modified Tom Morello from GH3. I'm probably still gonna pick up the game though, the drumkit IMO, seems to be better than the RB one. Also, the setlist isn't that good, and there's a good chance of it getting Blink, Ozzy/Sabbath, and Paramore DLC.

Good and not good. The Charts look good and Hayley's animation looks AWESOME. But she still looks terrible, the drummer looks off, and the graphics just suck. I mean, it would be one thing if the graphics were bad, but they dont even try to emulate that real pumped up feeling you get at a concert like Rock Band does. I honestly think the details and such are MUCH better in GH, but the feel and style of Rock Band wins over anything.

Look at "Eye of The Tiger" now it is overcharted badly.

i hate to say this, but GHWT had so much overcharting that I'm surprised I'm not in the hospital yet. I feel numb...

I hate it because I almost WANT to like it, but from what ive seen and past experiances, its hard.

I think really liked GH3 until I played Rock Band, now I just can't stand the ridiculous things that the game throws at you. If they end up with more Paramore songs in game I MIGHT consider buying it, but otherwise it is very unlikely.

Wow Hayley at least moves like Hayley. Too bad she doesn't look like her. I knew the Graphics would be crap. It was like with GH3 when your playing Bulls on Parade with Tom Morello, and a bunch of "Dancers" walk out on stage. That was a big "WTF is this shit" Good to see they haven't really changed their robotic movements, and kept the cartoony look to it.

You know, I'm gonna buy it but just the disc only. I swear that purple bar for the bass looks horrible. Ugh, it looks like they are overcharting things AGAIN. The only saving grace is Misery Business and a couple of other songs along with Hayley (although her model looks BAD) and possibly Paramore DLC.

I'm sorry to say this, but even with the Paramore DLC they might get, it might not be worth much if it's all overcharted. I would still cave in at the sight of Paramore, but I wouldn't be happy about it.

Well it is out today, did anyone buy it?

I know I did and Nourez too. Just heading off to play it now.

Im getting the game only Thursday or Friday. I want it now though.

Someone tell me if it's good please, I'm going to have to wait for Christmas no matter what, but I would like to know how it's gonna be.

It's actually quite good. I'm enjoying it. Though not as much as Rockband. GH:WT has too many songs I don't care for.

On a happier note there are some really fun songs IMO.

Not liking the having to hit other notes while having held notes messes me up too much
and the whole "slide" notes just annoy me.
Still don't like the over all way its presented ( I acutally went through the enitre doors song without using Starpower, because I never saw the falshing white bar at the bottom lmao!)
Atmosphere kind of sucks so far.... I was playing Go Your Own way and it just doesnt suck me into the feeling Im rocking out on stage like Rockband does when My Singer points to the crowd, and My guitarist is jumping around and everyone is singing "You can go your own way!"

Hayley looks awful, the T-shirt IMO looks like she bought it from a Hobo who painted Riot on it.

The character creator looks pretty good I was too busy unlocking songs to go more in depth nor have I checked out the Music Creator....

EDIT: Nourez! yo usiad you got the bundle yea? if so how are the drums? I drummed for a few songs when My dad wanted to play the round notes were a little akward but not as bad as I thought.

I am going to go get this in a little bit cause I talked my mom into getting it and she said yeah!!!!
